Does it get to you seeing another player do better?

Are you hard on yourself?

To learn new skills more easily, develop your confidence as you go.

Take the time to list three successes each day.

The next time you play, focus on the smallest of successes; the technical aspects of your skating, your knowledge of the game, your ability at reading the play before it happens.

Do this each day so that you build a reserve, a 'well' of small confidences that help you as you learn your next skill.

This builds up to a great amount of success to make you better and will help you to stay mentally strong as you develop your physical skills.

This will increase your self-value, your self-esteem, and your skills on and off the ice.
